Yup im on a long holiday. So i've been mostly walling, and drawing with my tablet. =3 I've been shopping a lot too! =D And just recently i went on a holiday and stayed in a chalet by the sea. I'll be on another vacation again on the 21st of December. ^_^ Planning to head down over to the seaside again and maybe do some scuba diving. =D

It's alright. ^_^ I've been late in my replies too. Halloween was just like every other normal day for me. No candy, no trick or treating. T_T Well we just don't have those kinda customs here. So basically it was just a plain old normal day for me. How about you? Did you do anything fun on that day?

Oh and that part about choosing a color contrasting to your scan, well it's like this: 1. First open the scan that you wanna extract in Photoshop. Then duplicate the scan. 2. Later make a new layer and place it under the duplicated layer. 3. Then fill the new layer with black (if you're gonna extract a light colored scan) or choose white (if you're gonna extract a dark colored scan). 4. Then start extracting it with the pen tool. This process that im explaining is just to make it easier for you to extract the scan.

Nyahaha im back! =3 So...do you still have a prob with searching art on deviantart? Actually what you did was correct. It should have appeared. O_o Try searching for "wallpaper tutorial"...sometimes the search works better when you type something in the singular form rather than the plural form. =P

As for that tutorial you used well i don't follow exactly that method so i don't really know what could've been wrong with it. But here's my simple steps to extract:

[readmore]1. First open the image that you want to extract. Then duplicate the image by pressing ctrl+j. Next, hide your original layer by clicking on that eye shape thing in the layer box. 2. Create a new layer, then place it below the duplicated layer, and fill it with a color which is contrasting with the colors in your scan. I usually use black. This layer will make the extracting process easier, as you can see the parts which have already been extracted more clearly. 3. Now zoom in until you can see the edges of the image clearly, and go to your duplicated image layer and start to extract using the pen tool as you've seen in that previous tutorial you used. Basically just use the pen tool and create anchor points around the outside of your image shape then right click and select "make selection" and then go to edit and select "cut". Keep doing this until you extract every part which you want to remove, and you're done![/readmore]

Hmm well i've never used much tutorials for walling or making icons. I just play around with the filters, brushes, and other tools. That's how i actually learned how to wall. xD But well i do know where you can get some helpful tutorials. You can go over to Deviantart, and search for wallpaper tutorials or icon tutorials. I really love going there because they basically have everything i need. They even have an awesome collection of photoshop brushes, gradients, textures, and etc. So you should take a look there.

Oh and did'nt you have an avatar previously? Where did that one go? If you need an avatar, i can help make one for you. Just send me a picture that you would like to be placed in the avatar (preferably high quality pictures such as the scans from AP) and i'll make one for you. Oh and tell me if you want any kinda text in it. ;D

Hello! According to the announcement made by CK, the current stalker layout is under some tweaking at the moment. She's gonna be adding some new stuff. So i think you should just wait till the newer version comes out because it'll have some new upgrades from the current one. Once it is out, i'll come help you with the layout. Oh but just drop by my userpage and remind me once it's out ok. Im kinda forgetful. ^_^;
